Chock Karuppaiah
Founder and Chairman
Dr. Chockkalingam “Chock” Karuppaiah brings more than 23 years of electrochemical
experience in the energy and technology sectors. Prior to founding Vetri Labs, Chock was the Vice President of Stack Engineering at Bloom Energy, Professor at Case Western Reserve University, and Fundamentals Team Manager at Plug Power. During his tenure at Bloom, he led the product design, process development, and manufacturing scale-up of seven product generations. His technical work includes the development of polymer electrolyte fuel cells, solid oxide fuel cells, and flow batteries. Most recently, he has joined Ohmium as Chief Technology Officer where he will help scale their electrolyzer technology for the generation of green hydrogen.
He has authored 23 patents in the area of electrochemical technology and devices.
Chock holds a B.S. in Electrochemical Engineering from Central Electrochemical Research Institute and a Ph.D. in Electrochemistry and Fuel Cells from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Siva Ramiah
Cofounder and Board Director
Sivagami “Siva” Ramiah has over 20 years of experience in software development and technology services. Siva currently serves as both the Board Director of Vetri Labs and CEO of ByteQuest, a data analytics start-up that offers end-to-end AI solutions. Prior to founding Vetri Labs and ByteQuest, she led product engineering and customer delivery teams at CoreLogic Dorado.
Her segue into machine learning and artificial intelligence began during her Stanford University Mining Massive Datasets’ program. As part of this course, Siva co-authored a research paper on peer lending risk prediction analysis and gained exposure to machine learning, information retrieval, and data mining. She is now utilizing her expertise to democratize AI and machine learning solutions for all-sized businesses.
Siva holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Madras, a Masters in Computer Applications from Bharathidasan University, and a Graduate Certificate in Mining Massive Data Sets from Stanford University.
